About Us

The Jewish Federation is the North Shore’s central Jewish institution, connecting Jewish populations in 23 cities and towns, and funding agencies and programs that promote living Jewishly. Federation’s global reach supports and strengthens Israel and overseas communities. JFNS is responsible for unified fundraising, central planning, collective social programming, and the encouragement of the Jewish values of tikkun olam (repairing the world), tzedakah (charity and social justice) and Torah (Jewish learning).
