Jewish Women's Endowment Fund Grant
Recipients 2012-13

Six grants totaling $5200 have been made by the Jewish Women’s Endowment Fund (JWEF) for programs offered by non-profit organizations designed to further the needs of Jewish women and girls on the North Shore: 


  • Annual Combined Jewish Women’s Organizations Program – funding for a cooperative program among at least 14 North Shore Jewish Women’s organizations and agencies.
  • Chabad of Peabody’s Ladies Home Club Spa for the Soul – a program to nurture the body with pampering and the soul with spirituality through a speaker on Judaism and women’s issues.
  • North Suburban Jewish Community Center’s Shalom Families – program to connect new parents and parents of young children to each and the greater Jewish community.
  • Temple Ner Tamid Sisterhood’s Vashti’s Banquet – Women’s Purim program.
  • Cohen Hillel Academy’s Building Identity and Community for Young Jewish Girls– program to foster a safe and supportive environment to discuss issues around being female, Jewish and a teen for 7th and 8th grade students.
  • North Suburban Jewish Community Center and Aviv’s Tu B’Shevat Women’s Intergenerational Seder– program for NSJCC members and AVIV/Woodbridge residents to celebrate the Jewish New Year of trees, connecting through family trees and discussion.
